How much will I be billed for adding new domains to an existing order?

If you add any additional domains when re-processing a multi-domain certificate, your bill for the new domains will be prorated by the amount of time remaining on that certificate. However, if you change any of the domains that the certificate covers but don’t change the total number of domains in the order, you will not be charged. For example:

  • If you have a one-year multi-domain certificate and add a domain after 6 months, you will be billed for 50% of the yearly cost of the new domain. For a non-wildcard domain, the bill would be $24.50 (half of the $49 yearly cost).
  • If you have a multi-domain certificate, remove one or more domains, and then add the same amount of new domains, you will not be charged as long as the total number of domains remains the same as the initial order.
