NB Power Accepts SSL.com’s Digital Certificates

As of February 27, 2019, SSL.com‘s root certificate has been named by New Brunswick Power Corporation (NB Power) as an Authorized Certificate Authority (ACA). This trust extended to us by NB Power allows the use of SSL.com North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) digital certificates to access NB Power’s transmission services,  which include:

  • Dispatch
  • Outages
  • NBPC OASIS (including Nova Scotia Power (NSPI) OASIS)
  • Energy Scheduling
  • Metering
  • Settlement
  • Wind

As an accredited NAESB ACA, SSL.com is pleased to have earned NB Power’s trust. With this move, NB Power joins the ranks of other System Operators and markets who have made commitments to improve cybersecurity through better authentication of their users and devices with NAESB ACA-issued certificates.

Please see our product page on NAESB Client Certificates for more information on this program and what we can offer our energy-sector clients. And, as always, feel free to contact us at support@stg.ssl.com with any questions.
